Our Pitch Blog

For the two pitches me and my group came up with them and thought they were really good. For the first pitch a groom sets out to tracks down a bounty hunter after his bride is killed at the altar. The second pitch three siblings come home from school to find their beloved foster mother missing. There are pros and cons to both of these pitches. We came up with these two pitches in order to come up with a thriller or mystery film. Those two-genre made it easier for us in order to catch the viewers' attention. The first pitches we just came up with while we were focused on the second pitch. We wanted the scene to have an element of mystery to it so the people watching can be asking questions about how and why. The viewers can make ideas in their head about what's going on in the film and them trying to solve the mystery before the movie ends. As these are both mystery film, they can have many plot twists to them. Having friends to do this film with is really nice since you don't really see people to much anymore because of corona. If I was filming this by myself, I probably wouldn't be too excited on this film. Don't get me wrong though I like filming but I just don't like doing things alone. It's like playing video games for me. I love to play them nonstop all day and the entertain me every time I play but, I have to be playing with someone else or multiple people because I will get really bored by myself. It's also fun having people to talk to when you're doing a school project and it's a group effort so it's not just one mind doing it all. There are 3 minds in this project and that gives us a lot more ideas in order to come up with things and figure out how they are going to be done. Filming isn't about just filming it's also a connection with whoever is watching the film. Not only that but also a connection with the people in the film. We chose the second pitch because it is more beneficial to us. For one the location because for pitch one we don't have a wedding dress and also, we would have to ruin someone's house and it would require more people to be in the film at the wedding. And also, since the pandemic right now it made sense to choose the second one over the first one since it's better to stay indoors then out in the open.
