Editing Blog

To start off there were a few ups and downs when editing this film. After we got done with the music video which took place at my house we went back inside and we started editing. We edited this film on Liliana's computer so we didn't have to do it on two. It's better to just edited everything on one computer makes it faster. Editing this film didn't take too long but we didn't do it that fast either. Liliana's part of the editing was to do the transitions and I was in charge of the song. Liliana's part wasn't as hard as mine and let me explain. When you work with a song that could be copy write along with it, it took me some time to find the song. What I mean by this is I thought it was as easy as putting the song for my commercial film into the that project but it was harder. When doing the last project, I made sure it wasn't a copy write song so it was easy to find it. But, for this song it took some time and it took me a while. One of the options that I did was signing into my apple music on her MacBook and hoping we can download the song off of there since I pay for it. Turns out it didn't work so I started searching on google for the song. This was a long process of searching and it was honestly stressful because I thought I was never going to find it. I even told her "don't worry leave the song to me I got this". And no, I didn't have it I was sitting there for a while looking at ways and websites that could have it. Most of them you had to buy or add extensions to your chrome browser and even after I added the extensions it was going to make me pay. Other websites downloaded the song but not the audio, it downloaded their version of the music video and we weren't able to use that. After some time, I finally figured out how to get it and I was so happy because we could finally finish the project. After finishing the project Liliana posted the music video on YouTube and then she went home.
